friend was stabbed outside of candle stick park. >> an altercation happened and pulled out a knife and actually was going for my girlfriend and her boyfriend jumped in the way and they stabbed him in the abdomen. >> police say the group was approached by two men that got into an argument and one of the attackers allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the man. they were arrested a short time later. the victim was rushed to the hospital expected to survive. this isn't the first at candle stick park. another was shot during a raiders 49ers foot gaulle ball game. man accused of killing a student heads to court. he is set to be arraigned in the death of lindsay marriott. her body hasn't been found. she disappeared nearly one week ago. police stopped looking near pierce island yesterday because of dangerous current.

>> good morning to you, as well. the obama administration continues to draw fire over the ter re terrorist attacks in zin libya. they blamed a spontaneous demonstration over an anti muslim film for that attack. investigation acknowledged it was a terrorist attack. four people were killed including ambassador christopher stevens and shawn smith. smith's mother told fox news she had a hard time getting any information on how her son was killed. >> leon pineda shook his hands to my face and said, trust me, i will tell you the truth. i will get the right information to you. just trust me. and when i heard that i knew i couldn't trust him. i don't trust any of them any more. they lied. >> during last week's debate he

defended them saying they were unaware of a request for adding more security on the ground. they claim the president bung elled the operation. some republicans are suggesting the obama administration is involved in a cover up. >> either they are misleading the american people or incredibly incompetent. you couldn't believe it was based on a riot that never occurred. >> at the top levels the united states is responsible for everything that happens on his watch. these were judgments that were made by the security folks at the state department. we are going to review that whole process and see how that decision was made why those decisions are made and how we adjust in the future to make sure we are giving diplomats the

himself. he viewed the tape. he will make adjustments on tuesday. i am not going to get into detail about strategic changes that he might make. i encourage you to watch and show up. i think it will be an interesting debate. he will be aggressive in making the case for his view of where we should go as a country in a country that is built around a growing, thriving middle class for t not this top down theory romney has. the debate preparation for mitt romney is talking this morning. he expects the president to take a tougher approach tomorrow. >> i think president obama is going to come out swinging he is going to compensate for a first debate. that's what they are doing for the whole campaign which is running an ad campaign hundreds of millions of dollars including a lot in ohio miss characterizing governor romney's positions and misrepresenting him. that's the debate on tuesday

>> now to stories you can bank on this morning. a group of leading economists issuing a warning about the nation's unemployment. it's not what job seekers want to hear. joining us with those details lauren simonetti from the fox business network thank you for joining us. the national association for business economics came out with a survey every quarter. they are only slightly optimistic. they will rise 1.9 percent this year and won't get back until the end of next year. stocks will rise but modestly. they see the broad s&p 500 in 1950 where is the good news? in the housing market recovering faster than expected which is what they say. >> not good news for peel on social security. >> those who get social security

benefits expect a 1-2 percent increase during the year. it will be the smallest one since 1965. starting in january that will go up anywhere between 12 and 24 bucks. >> let's end it on some good news. they had a hard time looking for a job. their unemployment rates are low. >> general electric is expected to announce a program today to spur hiring of military veterans. a group of 76 companies set a goal to hire 100,000 veterans at the end of 2020. they are moving in the right direction. still have a long way to go. unemployment is 9.7 percent the national average. >> but every job counts. >> absolutely. >> thank you so much. see you on the business channel.

>> turns out a bomb threat was all a joke. police not finding it funny, though. not at all. they raised a man who claimed he had a bomb in his luggage and he is now facing charges. the hopes the main terminal to be evacuated for three hours. the deadline is fast approaching to that fiscal cliff that we have told you a lot about. that's when almost every tax break that has taken place since 2001 would expire on january 1st, 2013. what a lot of us don't realize once it it won't just impact your businesses it will put your homes your cars eventually even your jobs in jeopardy. a lot of americans aren't following this issue yet. our viewers certainly are but a lot of others are not. it's important. explain some of the ways it will effect us. >> they are not following it. we have heard of it. what you have heard so far we

have had a fiscal cliff and they were averted by the end of the year december 31st at midnight. 90 percent of us the tax policy center estimates we will see our taxes go up in some sort. in fact it has been estimated that every household in the united states will see their taxes go up by $3,500 next year. so when you talk about your cars and your home and your jobs on the line they certainly will be if we do indeed see these tax cuts expire, spending cuts go into place, businesses have been warning heather that they will eliminate workers cut back spending and that will effect all of us. we have already seen the results. the delay has an opportunity cost to it that businesses aren't expanding right now because they don't know what's going to happen. >> what's interesting is while businesses are sort of buckling and tienting the reigns the

consumer doesn't seem to be phased this at all. in fact we decided in october confidence they don't see this as something that's going to effect them or something that is actually going to happen when the elections will be a selling tyne as to when they will face that. >> there's a legality fatigue. >> everybody is ready to spend again. >> do you think there are going to come to some sort of terms on this prior to january 1st? >> right now it is said to be likely that congress will come to some sort of terms but not on everything. some of us will be averted we will be affected. you will see taxes go up by 2 percent. in total if we were to see this fiscal cliff happen the congressional budget office this will be a tax increase. >> for all americans. we are talking about potentially

tomorrow may be fairly different than the one we saw two weeks ago. the one tomorrow night will be at the town hall format. both will have to connect directly with the voters there right in front of them asking them questions. back to you guys. thank you so much. moving on to the september 11th attack on our libya's consulate. the white house is continuing to face a lot of serious backlash over the handling of that. the ongoing investigation sparked a series of questions over whether or not this could all have been prevented. the state department is accused of failing to provide adequate security. many suggesting the obama administration tried to cover up the truth. yesterday host chris wallace confronted a senior campaign advisor david axle rodd about this which led to this fiery exchange. >> i would point to the fact that in bloomberg news chris

>> span the hour to see what headlines are making stories overseas. >> look at that right there. dramatic video from rebels apparently showing them shooting down a government plane. you can see that plane falling from the sky. another video claims to show captured soldiers. we will keep you posted on that. next to italy where the captain accused of causing a deadly crash heads to court today. a judge will decide if there's enough evidence to indict francisco on charges including manslaughter. two americans were among the 32 people killed in that crash. finally in china still no word on what caused the fireworks show to turn into a real nightmare for spectators.

much classified information if any at all can be used in this case. of course some of the information will inevitably leak out publicly. the hearings are not open to the public. they are going to get a chance to watch right here in brooklyn new york fort hamilton base as well as the base in new jersey and in maryland and massachusetts. 9 crowds are expected to be on the small side. they will go over the pretrial motions they are expected to last five days with the actual trial not beginning until may. you can remember back in last may the arraignment took about 13 hours to complete. there were a lot of disruptions from the defendants themselves. there will be a 40 second delay to make sure it doesn't happen again.
